The Bel'M solution

 

All Bel'M entrance doors, with standard width*, meet the regulatory requirements for accessibility to persons with reduced mobility. 

 

100% of Bel'M's doors are fitted with 20mm aluminium sill to comply with the standards for persons with reduced mobility.All Bel'M's front doors have a conventional opening way up or egual to 830mm as standard. Additionnaly Bel'M provides a range of extra wide doors up to 1 meter in wood or steel and up to 1,20 meter in Aluminium and Mixed (Wood / Aluminium).

Electric lock, optionnaly available in aluminium and wood ranges makes door opening easier.

*Except for contemporary large glazed Aluminium doors, which comply from a width of 905mm. 

 

What the regulations require :

  • door sills no higher than 20mm
  • minimum opening width of 830mm
  • easy opening

 

Recap of the regulations:

Since 30/11/2007, all new individual houses built for renting must be fitted with an entrance door with minimum width 900mm, i.e. an opening of 830mm, when the door is opened 90°. The sill itself must be rounded or fitted with a chamfer and be no higher than 20mm.
